PRESS RELEASE
StreamBase Becomes the First CEP Engine to Integrate with Enterprise Social Data Provider Gnip
Integration provides dozens of new real-time sources of data for real-time analytics, including Twitter, WordPress, Tumblr, Facebook, StockTwits and more
NEW YORK, NY (USA) — June 19, 2012 — StreamBase Systems today announces that its high performance CEP platform is now integrated with Gnip, the largest provider of social data to the enterprise. The connectivity will allow StreamBase customers to rapidly access dozens of sources of data including firehoses from Twitter, StockTwits, WordPress, Tumblr, Disqus and more.
Gnip data can now directly feed streaming social data into StreamBase’s real-time analytics platform for users to integrate with their real-time applications. The connectivity will be packaged as part of the core StreamBase Big Data Acceleration Pack and made accessible via StreamBase’s visual authoring environment, StreamBase Studio, and StreamBase LiveView™ for real-time analytics.
“We’re excited to see what companies like StreamBase and their customers can do with the integrated products. It will be particularly interesting to see how they can leverage the speed and agility of the StreamBase CEP platform,” said Chris Moody, President and COO at Gnip.
“StreamBase was the first CEP platform to tap into social media, with our Twitter adapter in 2009,” said Richard Tibbetts, CTO at StreamBase. “The complexity and big data aspects of social data make it challenging to analyze and manage streams in real-time. Our new connectivity with Gnip makes it possible for our customers to innovate with social data to better understand their customers, followers and breaking industry news.”
Richard Tibbetts, CTO StreamBase will be speaking at Gnip’s Big Boulder conference, the world’s first social data conference, which takes place June 21-22. For more information visit http://bigboulderconf.com
