Launching StreamBase Studio
This topic describes the different ways you can launch StreamBase Studio.
License File Requirement
The license for the StreamBase Developer Edition is automatically validated when you install StreamBase; no licensing steps are
required. For the Enterprise Edition, a valid license file must be copied to the install_directory/etc directory of your
installation before you run StreamBase Studio. For details, please the see the appropriate topic in the Installation Guide
for your operating system:
- Post-Installation: Licensing (Windows)
- Post-Installation: Licensing (Linux)
- Post-Installation: Licensing (Solaris)
On Windows Machines
On a Windows machine that has StreamBase installed, you can launch StreamBase Studio in any of the following ways:
- On the Start menu, select Start > StreamBase > StreamBase Studio.
- From the desktop, double-click this icon:

On Linux Machines
On a Linux machine that has StreamBase installed, you can launch StreamBase Studio by entering this command:
sbstudio
