PRESS RELEASE

StreamBase Selected by CME Group to Analyze Real-Time Streaming Data

NEW YORK NY (USA) — June 23, 2009 — StreamBase today announced that CME Group, the world’s largest and most diverse derivatives exchange, has selected StreamBase Complex Event processing solution for enterprise-wide deployment. After a comprehensive evaluation, CME Group chose StreamBase as its internal standard Complex Event Processing (CEP) platform, and will be initially deploying it for their options pricing applications.

“CME Group is one of the most demanding technology environments in the world, processing millions of orders a day in milliseconds, and disseminating market data in a reliable and low latency manner is critical to our customers,” said Steve Goldman, Director, Enterprise Architecture, CME Group.  “Their high-performance multi-threaded server and easy to use modeling tools met our requirements and will enable the exchange to quickly react to the ever changing needs of our customers.”

“The names signing on as StreamBase customers keep getting bigger.” said Mark Palmer (@mrkwpalmer), CEO of StreamBase.  “The CME Group’s choice of StreamBase shows further evidence that firms are moving beyond first generation CEP platforms designed for point applications like algorithmic trading, and turning to StreamBase for enterprise-wide deployment for dozens of applications.   With selections like the CME Group we believe we’re seeing signs of CEP moving into mainstream IT infrastructure.”

As an international marketplace, CME Group brings buyers and sellers together on the CME Globex electronic trading platform and on trading floors in Chicago and New York. By acting as the buyer to every seller and the seller to every buyer, CME Clearing virtually eliminates counterparty credit risk. CME Group offers the widest range of benchmark products available across all major asset classes, including futures and options based on interest rates, equity indexes, foreign exchange, energy, agricultural commodities, metals, and alternative investment products such as weather and real estate. More information can be found at www.cmegroup.com or via Twitter @cmegroup.

For those visiting the SIFMA Technology Management Conference in New York, StreamBase can be visited at booth #1854 on level 1 of the conference center at the New York Hilton, 1335 Avenue of the Americas.
