StreamBase Named Best Streaming Data Management Vendor By Financial Services Community

2 out of 3 Worldwide Readers of Waters Magazine Select StreamBase Complex Event Processing (CEP) Over Progress Software, Vhayu, and Others

Waters-StreamBase-Best-Complex-Event-ProcessingBOSTON, MA– June 28, 2007 — StreamBase Systems' market leadership within Complex Event Processing (CEP) was further solidified Wednesday evening as the readers of Waters Magazine gathered in New York City, NY to officially name the company as the "Best Streaming Data Management Vendor." StreamBase's recognition was part of the 2007 Waters Rankings, an annual survey that solicits the opinions and feedback of Waters magazine readers regarding vendor excellence and customer satisfaction.

"StreamBase is trailblazing Complex Event Processing, and the readers of Waters Magazine have embraced its brand and reputation for delivering best-in-class CEP solutions," said Phil Albinus, Special Projects Editor at Waters. "By placing first within the Best Streaming Data Management Vendor category, StreamBase has demonstrated that it has not only heightened its own market awareness, but that word-of-mouth references among financial services firms that are typically very closed-lipped about the competitive products they use, is quite prevalent."

Waters covers the practical implementation of technology in the securities industry and is relied on by financial technology professionals worldwide for focused, in-depth coverage of financial market data and technology. Each year, the editorial staff at Waters asks the readers to cast votes for their favorite tools and services in financial IT. This year, more than 600 voters from six continents weighed in on which tools and services their firms "can't live without." To win the category, StreamBase received more votes than other nominees for Best Streaming Data Management Vendor, outranking competing vendors such as Progress Software, Vhayu, KX Systems, and Xenomorph.

"We are honored that the readers of Waters Magazine have selected StreamBase as the best streaming data management vendor," said Barry Morris, Chairman and CEO of StreamBase. "The recognition that our customers have received for their use of StreamBase, coupled with awards based on public perception, is invaluable. Our clients' successes in Financial Services and other markets, and our continued market expansion, further drives the value and surging adoption of real-time CEP applications worldwide."

The complete results of the 2007 Waters Rankings will be published in the July 2007 issue of Waters Magazine and will also be made available online via subscription at www.watersonline.com.
