StreamBase Teams Up With Aite Group & Securities Industry News To Further Demonstrate Value & Benefits Of Complex Event Processing In Capital Markets

StreamBase Supports Roundtable Discussions, Web Seminars, & Training On Real-World CEP For Financial Institutions

BOSTON, MA – May 7, 2007 — StreamBase Systems, Inc., the leader in high-performance Complex Event Processing (CEP), today announced its support for two industry events focused on delivering real-word insight and best practices on how financial institutions can optimally leverage CEP within their unique business environments. The first event is an Aite Group Roundtable entitled, Event Processing: An In-Depth Look at the Practical Application of Event Processing (EP) in Capital Markets, on Wednesday, May 9th in New York City. The second event is a web seminar with Securities Industry News entitled, Algorithmic Trading: Top 10 Keys to Success in 2007, on Wednesday, May 30th. In addition, StreamBase is hosting training workshops in both New York City and London for empowering financial services organizations to drive full regulatory compliance and increased competitive advantage with high-performance CEP.

Aite Group Roundtable — On Wednesday, May 9th, Aite Group is hosting a roundtable discussion in New York City: Event Processing: An In-Depth Look at the Practical Application of Event Processing (EP) in Capital Markets. The event will explore the practical applications of Event Processing technologies in capital markets. Attendees will hear from StreamBase about the increasing adoption rates within financial services of high-performance CEP to build ultra-low latency, real-time data management applications. The roundtable will be held at Bayard's, One Hanover Square, New York, NY.

Algo Trading Web Seminar — On Wednesday, May 30th, StreamBase is hosting a Web-based event with Securities Industry News: Algo Trading: Top 10 Keys to Success in 2007. The event will offer the opportunity for participants to hear industry experts in capital markets discuss how to capitalize on the competitive algorithmic and electronic trading opportunities in today's markets and in the future.

Technology "Prototype-to-Production" Workshops — StreamBase is sponsoring a series of technology workshops to address the need for prototyping streaming data applications that can process and query real-time information, such as those that drive electronic trading and best execution. During these sessions, customers and partners will be able to conceptualize, build, and prototype Complex Event Processing applications that can support automated/algorithmic trading, MiFID/best execution, compliance, real-time risk management and more. Upcoming workshops are scheduled for May 15th through the 17th in London, and then from May 22nd through the 23rd in New York City.
